Brocoli Salad

with one comment

This is a Bethany recipebroccolisalad2.jpg

Brown about 1/2 c. of slivered almonds and 1/2 c. of sunflower seed either with oil in a pan over the stove or brown them in the oven. Make sure you don’t burn them! Leave them aside to cool down.

In a bowl, cut these and mixt together:

1 bunch or so of brocoli

1 bunch or so of cauli flower

Some celery (maybe 1 c. or so… depends how much you like them)

Some green onion (again… as you wish)

About a whole “branch” of red grapes (or just as you feel)

REAL bacon bits (you can either buy them or make your own bacon and chop it into chunks…)

Dressing:

Mixt together 1 and 1/2 c. of mayo, 2 Tbls of vinegar, 2 Tbls of white sugar (these are… not exactly right, but they work)

Add dressing when you’re ready to eat!

  1. Every time I go to my mom’s, her boyfriend asks me to make it.

Some people find the grapes to be a weird ingredient, but it’s actually good.

This is not like a letuce salad, you should mix it (with the dressing) ahead of time. I am often told that this particular salad tastes better the day after.
